The Black, White and Red Exchange 2007
Per Suzannes request... last night we started the black, white and red exchange. Everyone is using a paper pieced pattern of a heart. The fabrics must only contain black, white and red. There are 16 people contributing to the exchange and several are beginners.

Per Sue's request...the next exchange was a daisy block. We had 20 people participate and 20 very cool blocks.
This time we all used the same pattern but decided that everyone needed to use bright summer colors, no pastels. We also brought little 3 in squares of the fabric in our flower so people would have the option of working them into their borders if they would like to.
At the exchange party Suzanne suggested that the next exchange be a paper pieced pattern and that the colors be black, white and red.

The Flip Flop Exchange 2006
Per Jenny's request.. the next exchange was a Summer quilt. We had 16(not everyone is pictured above) of people that wanted to do this exchange. We had women of all ages, races, religions and quilting levels , it was wonderful. As a result of our diverse backgrounds we had 16 completely different flip flops. Of course all the beginners are now addicted to quilting.
This exchange we all used the same pattern, but could use what ever fabric or embelishments that you wanted.
Here is Laurie's quilt
Suzanne did not so the exchange, but later decided to do a flip flop wall hanging in red, white and blue.

The Halloween Block Exchange 2005
In the beginning there were six...
The first exchange we could only had six people Suzanne, Jackie, Chanel, Sharla, Diane & Jenny from TX. I must add that Jenny only agreed to do it if we would do a Summer block exchange after. Because there were so few of us we decided to make the blocks big 12.5 inches and to make 12 blocks each so everyone would go home with 2 of each pumpkin.
The only rules of this exchange were the blocks size and it needed to have a pumpkin on it. That was it. We all created our own patterns and designs.
Once we completed this exchange and people saw the blocks, everyone said "I should have done that, let me know when you do the next one".
Jenny made these cute quilt labels for everyone (I have smeared the last names)
